I will not stoop to your lowest level, Goth language – Atiku responds to Tinubu

Atiku's reply to Tinubu :- I will not descend to your low level , gutter language

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate and former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has said he will not stoop to the level of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Atiku, who said he was committed to his contract with the Nigerians, said Tinubu had decided to launch a personal attack to cover up his identity.

In a statement on Thursday, the PDP presidential candidate said that once elected, his administration will gather a team of some of the brightest and best Nigerians spread across the country and in the diaspora to help rebuild the country.

The statement read: "From that moment on, I have decided that I will not bend to the personal attacks and lies spread by my opponents." Nor will I take the trouble to cover up the problems of those who have their own issues. "Do I intend to share with those who are encouraging language a weakness to insult their competitors?"

"I prefer to take the high road of dignity and statecraft in carrying out our manifesto as we continue to tell Nigerians how the Atiku-Okowa government is determined to prevent a nation so blessed with human and natural resources from plunging into darkness...

"Let me remind you of our past achievements, including when I served Nigeria successfully as a Deputy Prime Minister, which is hailed as the best so far since our return to democracy in 1999.

"I want to share our dreams and achievable growth plans for today and the future.

"We will assemble a team of some of the brightest and best Nigerians who abound in the country and the diaspora to help rebuild our country." This is my commitment and my contract with the people of Nigeria.

"My priorities to this end would include, but are not limited to, uniting the nation to give every Nigerian citizen, every state, and every gender, religion, and race a sense of justice, inclusion, fairness, and trust."

"We will not only ensure that all Nigerians are treated equally, but that they feel safe and secure against this pervasive insecurity regime that has gripped the entire country for too long."

"We will also be concerned with restoring Nigeria’s battered economy, especially by finding sustainable solutions to the recurring problems of debt management, deficits, subsidies, and the weak value of the naira."

"Increasing crude oil production, curbing oil theft, and increasing non-oil exports to improve earnings are also high on my priorities."

Atiku has promised to restore education and spearhead development as well as the restructuring of socio-economic and political structures.
